                                                                                         Laboratory Director

 

Physician Partners of America (PPOA) is an established and growing multidisciplinary integrated healthcare organization. We have multiple locations in both Texas and Florida with our corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL.

Our rapidly growing multi-state laboratory division is seeking the leadership of a full-time in-house Laboratory Director with at least 10 years experience in moderate and high complexity testing (directed and performed).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as key leader for the lab management teams in both Tampa and Dallas
  • Oversee lab operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with CLIA/COLA, AHCA regulatory standards
  • Analyze lab operations and implement plans for improvement
  • Provide key insights into the industry and ideas to keep our laboratories competitive within the market

Qualifications

  • MD Lab Director OR Clinical Laboratory Director in the state of Florida with qualifications in endocrinology, immunology, hematology, and chemistry
  • Key qualifications: Board Certified Pathologist OR PhD with certification from American Board of Clinical Chemistry or American Board Medical Laboratory Immunology
  • 10 years experience in a laboratory setting as Laboratory Director
  • Strong background in toxicology and molecular genetic testing
  • Working knowledge of Managed Care, PPO, UB04, medical terminology, CPT4 codes, ICD9 codes, technical job knowledge, and Third Party payer requirements and reimbursement rules
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication
