The keys to success in this role include:

We are looking for an experienced AR Collector to join our ASC Collections Team. PPOA’s culture calls for superior customer service, excellent understanding of best practices and industry standards, and a commitment to team problem solving and solutions. This position will be responsible for following up on claims, obtaining all the necessary documentation to determine maximum allowable for Out of Network reimbursement. The seasoned professional for this job must have prior ASC collections experience, superior communication and computer skills including EMR systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Knowledge of Out of Network benefits and reimbursements.
  • Understanding of insurance payers and reimbursement methods.
  • Ability to achieve daily, weekly and monthly individual and department goals.



  • 5+ years of progressive collection/billing reimbursement experience in a medical setting
  • Previous years experience in pain management clinics and ASCs within an out of network environment
  • 3 years of experience working in clerical medical environment
  • Knowledge of Managed Care, PPO, UB04, medical terminology, CPT4 codes, ICD9 codes, technical job knowledge, and Third Party payer requirements and reimbursement rules.
  • Superior knowledge of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements.
  • Must have exceptional organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, techniques and surgical procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication along with good analytical skills of situations.
