Physician Partners of America, LLC (PPOA) is an established and growing integrated health care organization with multi-site ambulatory surgical centers, medical clinics, anesthesia and neurodiagnostic services, pharmacies, labs and other ancillary services.

 

We are seeking an experienced leader, responsible for management of the entire revenue cycle operation. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer this key position oversees the strategic and daily management of the revenue cycle operations across multiple billing systems. We are looking for a hands-on professional who pushes self and others for results.

 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of four directors managing all revenue cycle functions, including insurance verifications and authorizations, billing, collections, denial appeals, payment posting, and daily cash deposits/posting reconciliations
  • Develop, plan, organize and implement current and future strategies regarding all payers (including patients), maximizing cash flow and managing the overall health of the company’s receivables
  • Developing policies, procedures and processes and integrating with internal and external stakeholders; Continuously improving processes to optimize revenue and cash flow, while ensuring revenue integrity
  • Leading and mentoring team members in both technical skills and people-management skills
  • Providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders
  • Providing management and executive reporting for performance analysis
  • Ensuring that all practices are compliant with state and federal regulations

Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements and possess these capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Ideal profile includes 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience over the revenue cycle function in a large healthcare environment including: billing, coding, collections, payment processing, customer service and regulations
  • Significant experience in revenue cycle operations for medical clinics, ASCs and ancillary services
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance reimbursements for various types of payers including in network, out of network, HMO Medicare, PPO, Workers Compensation and Personal Injury Claims (litigated), with heavy emphasis on the out of network environment
  • Experience in a hyper-growth, ever changing organization a plus; adept at reprioritizing

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate results of revenue cycle operations to the executive team
  • Must have exceptional organizational and computer technical skills including experience in working with information technology projects affecting revenue cycle
  • Expert at managing and leading people, fiscal analysis/management, project planning, strategic planning, decision making and outcome measurement/evaluation

 

  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT Coding principles and guidelines and state/federal regulations
  • Expert in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
