Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Experienced multi-entity full cycle Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for processing and payment of invoices in a timely fashion, proper matching of purchasing and receiving documents, correct distribution to general ledger expense accounts, timely and accurate payments that make full use of available discounts, and proper filing and storage of records.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

    -Superior customer service skills for internal clients and external vendor clients

 

-Prepares guidelines for proper coding of invoices to general ledger expense accounts and updates to inventory records.

 

-Monitors cash flow reports and checks to ensure that all discounts are taken and that accurate and timely payments are made.

-Reviews checks and vouchers to verify correct payments before signature by controller.

-Reconciles subsidiary vendors' ledger with accounts payable total and with general ledger.

-Prepares general ledger entries as required to correct errors.

-Supervises timely and accurate preparation of purchase journals and budget reports.

      -Compiles and prepares reports and records required by management and government standards.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • A minimum of 6 years solid full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
  • Multi-entity company experience
  • Highly proficient Excel experience
  • High school diploma
  • Highly organized, self starter
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Adaptable to change and a fast growing organization

A plus:

  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • Bachelor’s degree
