***We are looking for experienced Payment Poster to join our Laboratory team for a 10 week temporary assignment. By just doing what you do best, you will help patients receive better care and reach better outcomes at PPOA.***


· Calculating correct patient responsibility and adjustments
· Timely paper and electronic posting of all patient, zero-pay, and insurance payments for assigned segments
· Ensuring all patient accounts are balanced, posted, and reconciled across multiple systems
· Performing necessary contractual adjustments on accounts
· Analyzing data, identifying problems, and proposing strategies for resolution of complex reimbursement issues
· Maintaining confidentiality in regards to patient account status and the financial affairs of the clinic/corporation


· 2 years working A/R in a medical billing environment
· Experience reading and analyzing remits, keying charges, posting payments and calling insurance companies to obtain status and eligibility
· Excellent understanding of best practices in AAPC Standards of Ethical Coding
· Knowledge of insurance guidelines especially Medicare and Medicaid
· Computer skills that include medical billing software technology and EHR
· Ability to be an strong asset to the team—excellent communicator, team-player who works with others to find solutions, positive attitude
