Overview

Transportation Scheduling Coordinator

Physician Partners of America is a fast-growing integrated health organization with multi-site ambulatory surgical centers, medical clinics, pharmacies and laboratories. 

The Transportation Scheduling Coordinator (TSC) is responsible for building the connections between Physician Partners of America's patients, drivers, and scheduling department. The number one priority for this position is to work with the patients and scheduling department to ensure our patients are provided with safe and timely transportation to their scheduled appointments. This position will be reporting to the Director of Transportation. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Communicate daily with scheduling department and patients to coordinate patient transportation to our PPOA clinics and ASC’s in throughout Florida and Texas.
  • Must effectively build relationships with patients by understanding the patient’s needs and expressing empathy
  • Prioritize inbound patient calls and emails from PPOA’s scheduling department to ensure high-quality customer service experience
  • Obtain accurate demographic information while paying close attention to detail and documentation.
  • Manage, track and schedule corporate vehicles for executive usage.
  • Ensure all company vehicles are registered within the state; manage registration renewals.
  • Submit daily patient schedules to PPOA drivers to plan route and update the PPOA drivers with schedule changes for our Florida and Texas locations.
  • Respond effectively and promptly to all patients and team member requests.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate
  • Demonstrated success in a customer service role
  • Scheduling or medical office experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and EHR management systems
  •  Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Superior customer service and patient care skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and EHR management
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
