    Director of Lab Revenue Cycle

    ***We are looking for an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to join our team. The Director is responsible for the daily management and direction of the revenue cycle for our labratory division. The leader will oversee and direct all aspects of revenye cycle including billing, coding, collections, medical records, customer service, and regulations. By just doing what you do best, you will help patients receive better care and reach better outcomes at PPOA.***


    • Manage a high volume environment while maintaining exceptional standards of excellence and superior customer satisfaction
    • Perform audits and reviews of departmental charge capture and reconciliation
    • Oversee staff to ensure revenue integrity functions including charge capture, denials management, and unbilled claims
    • Build and enhance working relationships between revenue cycle teams as well as the clinics
    • Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders: patients, insurance companies and Pain/Primary Care clinics
    • Strategically work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to get verifications authorized and communicated to patients and clinics on a timely basis
    • Hold yourself and your team accountable to uphold excellent performance/satisfaction standards and to meet targeted goals


    • Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance or Health Care Administration
    • 10 years progressive Revenue Cycle experience; 5 years Revenue Cycle Team management
    • HFMA membership
    • Previous years experience in pain management clinics within an out of network environment
    • Expert in Microsoft Office and EMR systems


    • Excellent knowledge of insurance reimbursements for various types including in network, out of network, HMO Medicare, PPO, Workers Compensation and Personal Injury Claims (litigated)
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, techniques and surgical procedures
    • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT Coding principles and guidelines
    • Knowledge of the AAPC Standards of Ethical Coding
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Possess research, definition, analysis development and documentation skills
    • Excellent customer service skills—willing to go above and beyond to provide an outstanding patient experience
    • Strong computer skills with experience working in CRM’s, EHR’s, Practice Management Systems, Excel and Microsoft Word
    • Must have exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to set priorities
    • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
    • Ability to communicate in a professional manner-- able to counsel/teach customers, train co-workers, and positively contribute to marketing/public relations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the medical and business community.
