    Credit Balance Clerk

    Physician Partners of America (PPOA) is a growing integrated healthcare organization with a wide-range of patient services including medical clinics, ambulatory surgical centers, pharmacies and laboratories in both Texas and Florida.

    We are looking for an experienced Credit Balance Clerk to join our revenue cycle department at our headquarters in Tampa, FL. Our corporate team covers the non-medical side of healthcare so our doctors can focus on caring for our patients. By simply doing what you do best, you can help our patients reach better outcomes at PPOA!

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure any unapplied patient payments are allocated to the correct accounts.
    • Accurately post payments to accounts.
    • Transfer balances as needed.
    • Identify and process refunds in a timely fashion.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 1 year in a medical billing environment preferred
    • Experience with medical billing software and EHR
    • Experience in healthcare medical billing positions preferred.
    • Data entry experience
