    The Controller is responsible for directly supervising all accounting and financial functions. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly financial close process, treasury management, including forecasting cash requirements and safeguarding accounts, financial analysis, and financial statement preparation for all PPOA entities. The position will provide leadership in working with the Accounting and Finance team and other department leaders to ensure proper internal controls are followed. The Controller will also be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.




    • Work closely with the leadership to ensure financial success of Companies
    • Perform and oversee the accounting function (general ledger, cash management, payables, payroll, etc)
    • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls in accordance with the Company’s processes and procedures
    • Review and recordation of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity
    • Preparation of work papers supporting the monthly close process and month end balances
    • Direct the financial close process and maintain account reconciliations that support the general ledger.
    • Review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
    • Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances
    • Compile, analyze and submit financials and other reports for multiple entities on an accurate and timely basis
    • Reviews and provides logical explanations for monthly, quarterly, and annual variances in general ledger accounts
    • Supervision of all accounts payable processed in corporate office. This includes corporate payables, payables for Holding Entities, allocations of costs incurred on behalf of multiple entities
    • Review of expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities such as supply chain costs, etc
    • Analyze cash flow, cost controls and expenses guidelines with Executive Management Team
    • Prepare financial feasibility analysis for capital projects, acquisitions and divestitures
    • Serve as primary representative to all banking partners to promote optimal cash security, maximize return rate and leverage efficiency of treasury operations
    • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to Executive Management Team
    • Work closely with various departments to analyze key KPI’s and identify opportunities for performance improvement
    • Able to prepare and analyze ad-hoc reporting on demand
    • Perform other duties as assigned





    • BS/BA degree in finance, accounting, business or a related discipline required. MBA a plus
    • Active CPA license is required
    • “Big Four” or other large national accounting firm audit experience is strongly encouraged
    • Strong healthcare experience in both the private and public accounting sectors is strongly preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, AX, or D365 and Management Reporter strongly encouraged
    • Over 10 years of progressive financial accounting experience, including 3-5 years as a Corporate Controller
    • SEC and Sarbanes Oxley experience with either an audit firm or direct work experience
    • Experience managing an accounting department
    • Expertise in understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and drafting memos to support our position in areas of significant judgement or estimates
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate the financial condition of the organization to the VP of Finance, CFO and other members of facility leadership
    • High degree of confidentiality, maturity and discretion is required
    • Must be flexible with a can do attitude and will not be above any task given in an ever changing environment and willingness to get the job done including working extended hours to meet deadlines


    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
    • Health Care and Revenue Cycle experience
    • Must have exceptional organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities.

    • Strong financial acumen, and problem solving analytical skills
    • Excellent computer skills including expertise with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (including in depth knowledge of complex functions/data analysis using tools such as V-Lookup, Pivot Tables etc.).
    • Ability to work with multiple information systems including electronic medical records, enterprise accounting software, and data warehouse design and maintenance
