    The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for purchasing supplies for our various medical clinics and surgery centers, including daily oversight of the procurement functions in a manner that leverages our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and ensures polices are followed. It includes managing the purchase of material, equipment and supplies according to established guidelines for cost quality and delivery. The Supply Chain Specialist position provides detailed operational and financial analysis of supply chain data in the areas of sourcing, contracting, pricing, procurement, and item adds. Manages the activities engaged in furnishing supplies, equipment and services, to all departments of the organization in the most efficient and cost effective manner to ensure uninterrupted patient care.


    • Performs the collection, consolidation, analysis and reporting of operational, financial and clinical data in support of supply chain metrics
    • Assists with management of contracts for consumable goods, purchased services and capital equipment
    • Acts as an advisor/resource to all departments regarding sourcing options for goods, services and capital equipment, including monitoring status of unfulfilled orders and items on backorder or not received.
    • Reviews “item-add” requests and determines optimal sourcing for procurement of product
    • Performs the collection, consolidation, analysis of purchase order history and recommends the optimal sourcing
    • Performs responsibilities that conform to cost reduction objectives.
    • Performs all duties with a focus on integrity, quality, and cost effectiveness.


    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Healthcare related field or equivalent experience required
    • 2 or more years of supply chain/materials management required
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Must demonstrate sound business judgment with a strong understanding of operations, health care products and services, supply chain processes and finance.
    • Must be able to work in cross functional teams
    • Strong computer and data analysis skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Previous experience in healthcare setting preferred
    • Understanding of group purchasing organizations structure and functions preferred
