    Physician Partners of America (PPOA) is an established AND growing integrated health organization with multiple sites in Texas and Florida. Our team of talented professionals covers the non-medical side of healthcare so our doctors can simply focus on providing the best patient care.

    We are looking for a Medical Records Coordinator to manage requests by patients, providers, and attorneys for medical records while remaining compliant with HIPAA guidelines. By just doing what you do best, you will be helping patients receive better care and reach better outcomes at PPOA.


    • Compile, process, and retrieve medical information in clinics and/ or offices of physicians in accordance with the PPOA policy and procedures
    • Provide support to the PPOA providers by verifying information received via fax, phone, email and mail and processing requests with 48 hours
    • Review and maintains medical records for completeness and accuracy
    • Communicate changes and concerns to the Director of Operations, Regional Clinical Supervisors, Practice Managers and Providers to verify information
    • Completes billing process when required for medical record copies
    • Operates computer to enter and retrieve data and any other types of correspondence required


    • Minimum 1 year experience in Medical Record Management
    • High school diploma or GED certificate
    • Experience working in a medical office
    • Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal and telephone communication in English
    • Strong knowledge of HIPAA requirements
    • Knowledge of CPT codes, ICD 10 codes, and insurance plans
    • Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of electronic health record systems
    • Ability to prioritize and effectively work on multiple projects at one time
