    Physician Partners of America (PPOA), is an established and growing integrated health care organization with pain management and primary care clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, laboratories (DNA, pharmacogenomics, toxicology), and pharmacies. We have multi-site operations in both Florida and Texas, with our corporate headquarters located in Tampa, FL. Our team of talented professionals covers the non-medical side of healthcare so our doctors can simply focus on providing the best patient care.

     

    PPOA is seeking an experienced business professional to fill the role of Chief Financial Officer, reporting to the President and COO. This person will be responsible for accounting, finance, information technology, business intelligence/decision support, and supply chain. This is a HANDS ON, full-time role and the CFO must be willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work! 

    Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing company-wide financial and operational reporting, including executive dashboards
    • Supporting the process of expanding the private equity investment in the company, ensuring capital is deployed to enhance the financial performance
    • Expanding opportunities for, and further developing, the company’s supply chain processes
    • Oversight of the annual financial audit
    • Communicating financial results (compared to budget) with key management members and providing feedback to the team on how to improve results
    • Managing resources on a day to day basis to ensure forward progress
    • Updating the executive leadership on a weekly basis regarding the status of key projects/processes

    Qualifications

    • Ten plus years of experience in a CFO position
    • Undergraduate degree in appropriate field, with an MBA preferred
    • Must be (or have been) a licensed CPA
    • Adept at working in a private equity environment (strategically important)
    • Experience in healthcare; physician practices and ambulatory surgery center experience is a plus
