    IT Project Manager

    Physician Partners of America (PPOA) is an established and growing multidisciplinary integrated healthcare organization. We have multiple ASC, clinic, pharmacy, and laboratory locations in both Texas and Florida with our corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL.


    We are looking for an IT Project Manager to lead a variety of medium/large projects and programs, requiring the deployment of project management principles and tools. This professional will support key programs, management processes, and strategic initiatives for the entire Physician Partners of America (PPOA) organization, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of its services, solutions, and processes while improving customer and employee satisfaction.


    • Manage the entire project lifecycle including but not limited to; project timeline, budget, resource constraints, and deliverables/results
    • Lead projects and work with diverse teams to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close projects
    • Foresee and mitigate possible risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of the project
    • Direct multiples project teams involved with improving processes for PPOA
    • Lead strategic planning and alignment discussions while maintaining visibility and understanding of the tactical objectives
    • Document business processes detailing current state vs. future state processes
    • Act as a change agent to drive teams toward success
    • Ensure fluid communication with executive leadership, management, project sponsors, stakeholders, and project team
    • Direct project teams in the development and implementation of project plans
    • Identify resource needs and coordinate allocation of resources to deliver quality standards on time and within budget
    • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
    • Perform root cause analysis on project shortfalls and takes corrective action as necessary
    • Serve as a liaison between PPOA and external vendors (software, professional services, etc.), and be a part of the team for contractual negotiations
    • Create Meeting Agendas in conjunction with coordination and moderation of meetings/conference calls
    • Timely Delivery of Meeting Minutes, Action items
    • Track deliverables within the scope of the project lifecycle



    • Associates degree
    • Demonstrated experience (1-5 years) leading medium to large projects from initiation to completion
    • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously 
    • Demonstrated experience (1 to 5 years) with process management and continuous improvement
    • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint and PowerPoint
    • Intermediate data analytical skills


    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Demonstrated experience (4 to 8 years) of leading medium to large projects from initiation to completion
    • PMP certification from a Project Management Institute accredited program
    • Formal Six Sigma training (i.e. Greenbelt or Blackbelt training)
    • Experience working in a medical office, ambulatory surgery center (ASC), and/or ancillary services (i.e. laboratory, pharmacy) setting
    • Advanced data analytical skills
    • Experience implementing E.H.R. platforms (particularly Greenway Intergy) across multiple service lines
