    Patient Account Auditor


    The Patient Accounts Auditor is responsible for ensuring that accuracy of patient account balances. They provide support to the Patient Account Representatives through proactive and reactive account audits and also by providing an additional layer of support in fielding patient billing inquiries.


    • Review patient accounts to ensure all claims were billed correctly and that posted patient balances are accurate.
    • Bill and rebill claims, make adjustments, and post payments as necessary related to ensuring the accuracy of patient balances.
    • Service as a subject matter experience to the Patient Account Representatives for billing related questions.
    • Respond in a timely fashion to audit and correction requests from the Patient Account Representatives.
    • Conduct duties with empathy, support, respect, and professionalism at the core of every interaction
    • Evaluate and identify priority accounts
    • Document collection activity, post adjustments, and ensure balance accuracy for clinical staff to reference
    • Resolve billing discrepancies in timely manner
    • Protect patients’ confidentiality
    • Serve as a backup resource to the Patient Account Representatives when inbound call volume spikes.


    • High School Graduate
    • 3-5 Years of medical billing or transferrable experience.
    • A driven and competitive yet compassionate personality.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills that enable PPOA to be positively represented to patients
    • Experience multi-tasking and working in multiple systems while fielding customer/patient inquiries
