For a growing, entrepreneurial medical services company responsible for the procurement of commodities through the development and implementation of commodity strategies plans and the management of supplier relationships. Planning, directing and coordinating the process of buying materials, products and services. This manager must work as a liaison between our medical facilities, corporate office and other healthcare providers/ suppliers. This jack of all trades position manager must create the deals that keep materials flowing into our companies maximizing quality and minimizing cost. This requires planning and forecasting orders. Other areas of responsibility include price negotiation, planning, inventory control and quality control.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develops relationships with personnel at physician offices, ASCs, Corporate Office and throughout organization, so as to minimize waste and take advantage of economies of scale in group buying efforts.
  • Works with local operations managers, physicians, and corporate financial personnel to meet company expense and needs goals.
  • Considers best price, quality, availability and reliability when purchasing products.
  • Establish a robust purchase order system that minimizes overall cost for quality, and meets the needs of our medical clinics, ASCs and medical services locations.
  • Develop the contract management instructions and procedures for acquiring the companies’ supplies, equipment, and services in a timely manner with favorable terms of sale.
  • Maintains detailed records of suppliers and price information.
  • Purchase high quality equipment on an as need basis.
  • Take stock of inventory.
  • Develop new supply sources where vendors are inadequate.
  • Arrange safe transport of equipment.
  • Ensure materials in the supply chain meet the minimum requirements for quality assurance standards.
  • Develop policies and procedures in the areas of procurement, inventory control, receiving, storage and distribution, of supplies throughout our medical services company.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of supplies in our medical facilities for emergency situations
  • Follow established safe practices for receiving hazardous substances.
  • Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws
  • Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations, as well as other top executives.
  • Travel to PPOA ASCs (which would include overnight stay) to do training


Minimal Qualification Requirement:

  • Must have three to five years of medical supply chain experience (medical purchasing experience required)
  • A college degree (or related business experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including: EXCEL, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX (or similar software)
  • Bond able
  • Excellent organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory
  • Must be self-organized and self-directed, while being results-oriented.
  • Solid decision making skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
